Participate in Research

Faculty, students, and associates at the Center for Decision Research have numerous ongoing studies investigating how people form judgments and make decisions. Many of these studies take place in our private research facility, the Decision Research Lab (DRL). Participants for these studies are always needed, and most studies are conducted on a walk-in basis: You may stop in and participate whenever we have studies available (our walk-in hours are 11am to 5pm Monday through Saturday). Studies range in duration from 5 minutes to an hour or more, and they generally pay an average of $10 to $12 per hour. Usually, you can even do more than one study per visit, but you may only participate once in any given study.

Decision Research Lab Location

The DRL is located in suite C74, on the "Classroom Level" of the GSB
Harper Center Building at 58th Street and Woodlawn Aveune. Once you enter the building, go down one floor and follow signs to the Decision
Research Lab.

Sign-up for Mailing List

The easiest way to keep track of research opportunities in the DRL is to sign up for our e-mail list. List members receive an e-mail each day telling them what studies are available, what eligibility restrictions they have, and when they will be open for walk-in participation. Additionally, this e-mail list contains updates on studies that can be completed online, as well as additional paid research opportunities that require setting up an appointment. E-mail addresses on this list are kept private.

If you would like to receive updates on research opportunities in the DRL, please subscribe to the mailing list.
