Inaugural Initiative on Chicago Price Theory Conference
The Becker Center held its inaugural event in April 2006 with a conference. Panel discussions ranged from issues such as the economics of health to the biggest questions facing economists. A tribute to Gary Becker was also held. A major gift by Mr. Richard O. Ryan, MBA ’66, providing for the naming of the center in Becker’s honor was acknowledged at the tribute.
