2007 Conference on Chicago Economics

November 10, 2007, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Registration begins at 8:00 am

Theme

Chicago Economics has been at the forefront of economics research in a wide range of areas including finance, monetary economics, corporate governance, unemployment, the economics of the household, and the rational and behavioral models of human behavior.  These topics represent some of the most important areas of research in economics over the past 40 years.  Many of these areas had their roots here at Chicago. This conference brings together many of Chicago’s top economists working in these fields to discuss the evolution of these ideas over the past several decades.  The focus will be on how past contributions have evolved into today’s cutting edge thinking.
