Becker Fellowships

One of the goals of the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory, Founded by Richard O. Ryan, MBA ‘66 is to attract the most talented scholars with an interest and aptitude in combining innovative empirical work with theoretical tools in the price theory tradition of The University of Chicago. Appointing Becker Post-Doctoral Fellows is a key mechanism to accomplishing this goal. Becker Fellows receive the opportunity to work with and be mentored by the faculty at the Becker Center while pursuing their own research without teaching responsibilities.

Candidates must be at an early stage of their careers, meeting standards equal to or above that of the most selective departments.  Prospective candidates need not have completed their Ph.D. at the time of application but must complete their Ph.D. before the appointment begins. Fellowships are appointed for one year, and is renewable for one additional year.
