Emily Oster

An inaugural Becker Fellow, her research focuses on issues of development and health and, in particular, the economics of infectious disease.

Emily received her bachelor's in Economics from Harvard in 2002 and her PhD in Economics from Harvard in March 2006.

Emily joined the University of Chicago Department of Economics as an assistant professor of economics in July 2007.
