In 2007, the Price Theory Summer Camp was created to introduce PhD students from outside The University of Chicago to price theory, which emphasizes the application of basic economics tools to applied problems. This intensive one-week program consists of lectures by Becker Center faculty and fellows, workshops on problem sets, and a series of “Chicago-style” seminars featuring the research-in-progress of University of Chicago faculty. The program is geared towards PhD students in economics who have completed their third or fourth year of study, but applications are accepted from PhD candidates of all levels.
Application information for our 2009 Price Theory Summer Camp will be posted at a later date.
