
Ethan Lieber was a Research Professional in 2004-06. While at the Becker Center his work included such topics as rates of return on varying Human Capital investments, the effectiveness of alternative law enforcement strategies, heterogeneity of time preferences, effect of abortion on crime and teen childbearing, efficacy of child safety seats, efficiency of online betting markets, as well as, the value of signals.
Lieber received a bachelor's degree in Economics with Honors from the University of Chicago in 2004. His economics thesis evaluated the returns to parents of reading to their preschool-aged children.
Prior to his position as a research professional Ethan worked as a research assistant for Michael Greenstone and the Center for Population Economics, directed by Robert Fogel.
Ethan began his PhD in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago in 2006. He received a fellowship from the University of Chicago.
