
Marina Niessner was a Research Professional from 2005 to 2007. While at the Becker Center, her projects focused on demand elasticity for airline tickets, competition among Best Buy stores, and cognitive ability and consistent preferences.
Niessner received an AB in Economics and statistics, both with honors, from the University of Chicago in 2005. Her thesis in economics evaluated the existence of a housing bubble in the United States. She worked as a research assistant for Atif Mian at the Chicago GSB and for Vanja Dukic at the Health Studies Department as an undergraduate.
Niessner began a PhD in the University of Chicago Department of Economics in fall 2007.
