
Iolanda's current research focuses on determinants of US crime rates at city level, recent health trends in the US, and the relationship between health and insurance behavior.
Iolanda received a Bachelor's degree and a M.A. in Economics at Bocconi University, Milan, Italy where she wrote a thesis on migration, remittances, and how to use microfinance institutions to channel these flows to foster economic development.
Before joining the Becker Center she worked as an intern at IBM as a consultant for a major Italian bank.
